The Symbian Developer Network discussion newsgroups and forums are designed for developers to talk about Symbian OS and Symbian-related matters.
You may want to chat about topical Symbian issues, exchange ideas, ask development questions or even announce a new Symbian OS product.
They are designed as self-help groups, meaning when you make a posting you would normally expect another member of the community to respond to it. You would not necessarily expect an answer from a Symbian employee.
These newsgroups now synchronize with the online forums at the new address below:
- discussion.general - for discussing all things Symbian.
- discussion.symbiansigned.general - to discuss the Symbian Signed program.
- discussion.symbiansigned.support - for users to report all admin issues like locked accounts, registration problems, etc.
- discussion.tools - to discuss the use of the free tools released by Symbian.
- discussion.cplusplus - this newsgroup is for talking about developing using C++ on Symbian OS.
- discussion.java - to talk about Java™ on Symbian OS.
- discussion.connectivity - for discussion about the Connectivity Software Development Kit and developing Connectivity plug-ins.
- discussion.hardware - to discuss licensee's products based on Symbian OS.
- discussion.miscellaneous - to discuss anything miscellaneous.
- discussion.pips - to discuss anything related to P.I.P.S.
- feedback.apis - for feedback about third party API libraries and utilities.
- feedback.docs - for feedback about the accuracy, quality, content or coverage of the Symbian OS SDK documentation.
- feedback.sdks - for feedback about Symbian OS SDKs.
