About me

Jezar is an Ampex Gold Reel award-winning Sound Engineer with twenty-five years experience of audio production techniques. He's had a number of Top 40 Chart Hits in the UK, as well as being a Lecturer in Music Technology. He designed the popular acoustic room simulator software plug-in Freeverb, and became one of the original Software Engineers behind Symbian OS. In 2007, Jezar returned to Symbian where he's now a Senior Software Engineer in Multimedia Audio.

Development area of interest

Jezar's main software passion is performance and usability. Previously working as Psion's lead User Interface Designer for Symbian UIQ, he later went on to lead the design of Nokia's Series 90 "Hildon" user interface. He is currently exploring the different application possibilities for Symbian's latest developments in audio.

Personal interests

Outside of Symbian, Jezar spends most of his time behind the mixing desk of his home studio, or making strange bleeping noises with his Yamaha Tenori-On, or otherwise sitting up in bed mashing everything together on a battery-powered loop sampler. Fortunately both his cat and girfriend enjoy joining in with all these activities, thus leading to a fun - if sometimes rather noisy - home life.
